  2. Include a deposit which is 50% of the tuition (The amount is $2,995 , double occupancy. single occupancy more.)

III. Costs, Refunds and Insurance

PAYMENT & REFUND POLICY

A deposit payment is required to guarantee participation. We will invoice you for 50% of the total trip price per person .We use your deposit to secure guides, lodging and activities, most of which require full payment. Therefore, we highly recommend that you purchase a travel protection plan at the time of booking, as this will cover trip cancellation charges in certain circumstances.

Final balance is due 90 days before departure. If your trip is booked within 90 days of the trip departure date, then full amount is payable at time of booking.

If the client cancels, the deposit is non-refundable and the program costs are refunded as follows:

75% refundable 91 days or more prior to program start date
50% refundable between 61-90 days prior to program start date
0% refundable 60 days or less prior to program start date

In addition to the fee stated above, the following will be added to and part of the cancellation fee per person: any cancellation fees, surcharges, or nonrefundable deposits charged to us by its vendors and suppliers, such as individual hotels or other third parties.

Scheduled Group Programs: We need a minimum number of confirmed participants, so it is important that you do not purchase your international flights until directed to do so by us. If we do not have enough people 90 days before the retreat begins then the retreat will be cancelled, at which point deposits and programs fees are 100% refundable.

THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS to this cancellation policy, including for reasons related to weather, terrorism, civil strife, political travel policy changes, personal emergencies or any other circumstances beyond our control.

Travel Insurance:

We highly recommend you purchase a travel protection plan to help protect you and your trip investment!  Now more than ever it is important to think about the unexpected.  Consider travel protection for Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption, Emergency Medical and Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, Trip Delay, Baggage Delay and more. Additional Costs:

  • Personal expenses during the retreat [massage, shopping, tips for guides and staff, alcohol]
  • Additional shamanic or ceremonial services beyond those offered as part of the retreat
  • Any travel you do prior to the beginning our program
  • Quito related lodging is not included. We begin with you at10:00am on the first day of the retreat in Otovalo at our home lodge, Casa Mojanda and we complete with you on the last day of the retreat at 6pm in Quito
  • Transportation from the airport to Casa Mojanda before the retreat begins
